She was still awake at dawn. She had hours of accumulated exhaustion, gray hairs she hadn't managed to cover, and a sad, pale expression. "Something is wrong, he isn't answering my messages," she thought. She wasn't able to imagine a life in solitude for the long term. Imagining that she would never see him again was her greatest fear: the dread that no one would ever love her again.
