  • The Castaway's Wife

Mixed Media - Acrylic, gouache, and watercolor 29.7×21cm / Bound

Her skin wrinkled like meat fried in oil; her tendons tightened so much that she took on a forced, affected rigidity. She didn't let a single globule flow without first searching her memory. She wanted nothing more than to cease to exist, to leave it all behind like someone moving house, like someone traveling to find a distraction... Meanwhile, she took pleasure in the crunchy appearance of the new skin that the years of waiting had branded upon her.
