The girl on page XXII
- The Castaway's Wife
Mixed Media - Acrylic, gouache, and watercolor 29.7×21cm / Bound
The sea drowned him, and she drowned with him. He thought only of the comforts he was losing: life, love, money... He gazed at himself, helpless before his cruel fate. In minutes, he would be nothing more than a drowned animal, with no one to bury him—food for crabs and bait for seagulls. She was slowly drowning amidst comforts until she understood that she, too, would be the one wandering on the raft of fate: a destiny alone, full of wealth and a wretched thread of life. Her face blurs like the mist. Her clarity fades like an animal decomposing in the ocean.
